Please help with this error
Please help with this error
Hi, all
Me again:-(. I am running 105 sets data on a program, and after
compiling, the report shows:
*** Unexpected Exception from eoutofmemory
*** Please report to support@gams.com
*** Msg=Out of Memory in New or GetMem.
C OS errno = 12: 'Not enough space'.
Is there anyone ever experienced this situation? what causes this kind
of error, and what can I do for it?
Wait on line
Best regards
Lee

Re: Please help with this error
Not much we can help. GAMS is out of memory. You can try to move to a
machine with more memory, potentially a 64bit machine. From the report
it is not clear where GAMS ran out of memory. You might do something
that uses lots of memory but might not be required. For example, you
fix lots of variables to zero that never show up in the model. As
suggested send your model to support or pot it here.
Hope this helps,

Re: Please help with this error
Thank you very much for your reply. I think I will focus on filtering
the sets first. If it is still not working, I will post my program.
