Re: Search in Studio
Following on from the above problem. I am using search and replace. The search still finds the wrong thing, but now in all of the files, not just the lst file. I also notice that it tells me at the start there are, say, 5 matches found, but when I replace the first one, it still indicates 5 remainin...

Re: Search in Studio
Thanks as usual, Fritz. I have also noticed that when I am at the top of the list file and do a search, the first thing it jumps to is wrong. After that it is fine. For example I search for "TAXPAR" and it first highlights QX. I have tried attaching the list file here but am unable to. Bes...

Search in Studio
Hi I am using Studio 17.3. If I search for an item in one file, and then go to another file (leaving the search dialogue open) and search again, it takes me back to the original file. Although I noticed this Studio 17.2, I don't recall it happening in earlier versions. It does not matter whether the...

Re: gdxxrw error
Hi. I am afraid the same error persists after reinstalling Office. So it has to be a problem in GAMS. This afternoon I got an error message suggesting there is a problem in gdxxrw: GDXXRW 45.6.0 2eadeefd Jan 4, 2024 WEI x86 64bit/MS Window Input file : C:\Users\Rob Davies\Desktop\RwandaPrep\SA_templ...

GDX Export in studio
Scott MacDonald alerted me to the Export Button in GDX view in Studio. It is very useful. Can I wish for two tweaks? 1. At present the data selected are exported in table format, regardless of which view is being used in GDX. It would be nice to be able to export lists, since this makes pivots in Ex...

GDX Export in Studio
Hi
The Export Button in GDX in Studio is very helpful. But there seems to be a bug. The export window sort by entry treats the numbers as text, sorting as 1, 10,100, 101, ...109,11,110 etc.
Best
Rob

Re: A concern with Studio
Thanks Fred.
I have taken to using checkerrorlevel with the call so I am sure it is not reading in a different gdx.
Much appreciated.
Kind regards
Rob

Re: gdxxrw error
Hi Fred
I restarted and ran the model again. Now there is only one instance of Excel shown in Task Manager Details.
And when I close the workbooks down manually, those instances disappear.
Clearly something wrong with my Excel. Maybe I need to reinstall.
Thanks for your help.
Best

Re: gdxxrw error
Dear Fred I appreciate your help. I also feel it is more an Excel issue than a GAMS one. In fact I have been trying to see if it is related specifically to the Excel workbook I am trying to read. But I cannot find anything. For what it is worth I use Microsoft® Excel® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version ...

Re: gdxxrw error
Dear Fred Apologies for that. Yes - run 1modOLC.gms first, with a save in the command line (s=1mod) Then 2simOLC.gms with a restart (r=1mod) You can turn off most of the simulations, which are activated/deactivated on the "Main" sheet of 2simOLC.xlsx. At the end of 2simOLC.gms is $INCLUDE ...
