How to import elasticities of substitution in MPSGE?

Post by Archiver »

Dear all,
I am developing a CGE model with MPSGE language.
I have 72 sectors.
Now, I put the elasticities of substitution "by hand"; however, I do not have the definitely elasticities, I am changing them, so, I want to imort the elasticities from excel and to put them in the model directly, is it possible?
Could you, please, send me the code?
Thank you very much,
Raquel

Hi Raquel

Have a look at the gdxxrw utility (it is described in McCarl’s Extended Gams Guide as well as in Tolls – Data Exchange – GDXXRW

Cheers

Hi Renger,
Thank you very much for your answer. Finally, I could import them from excel, I only had to define them as a parameter (the same as the import of the iodata).
Thanks again!
Raquel
