Writing equations as VI problems in EMP

Post by Nongchao »

Hello everyone,

I have a question about using EMP to set up an equilibrium problem. I have some market clearing equations which are not constraints of any optimization problem, so it seems I can only write these equations as VI problems. My question is, does it matter which variables pair with which equations? I was left with variable y and some equations F(x), which is not a function of y at all. So it seems that I have to pair F(x) with y by writing the syntax "vi F y". But does it make sense?

Thanks!
