Help about writing close form on gams

Hi,
I am trying to write the model which is in the file(Modelwithexample,illustriration 6.11) on GAMS. I tried close form first which is at Page 9 but it does not give me a sensiable result. Then I tried to write each constraits one by one. That gave me a valid result but I did not understand what did I do wrong at first place. Can anyone help me?
