How to model Battery Energy Storage (BESS) in NLP formulation

Hello
I am looking to find how can I model battery energy storage systems (BESSs) in power systems but in NLP formulation. I know that I can model energy storage in MINLP formulation (by using binary variables) but how is it possible in NLP? I wrote this equation but my problem is infeasible:
Pcharge*Pdsicharge=0
Does anyone have a trick in this regard? Another person told me to use SOS2 variables but I checked and I found that those variables can only appear in MIP and MINLP models.
